Yosef Alamor – CEO of the Association, Head of the Education Cluster
Yosef Alamor is an educator, social entrepreneur, and change leader with over 20 years of experience in educational, welfare, and community work within the Bedouin society in the Negev. Yosef, a resident of Kisifa, holds a Master’s degree in Education with a specialization in special education and has dedicated his life to advancing particularly vulnerable populations, including children, people with disabilities, and the elderly. His notable roles include Director of the Eastern Negev Cluster, Head of Education at Yanabia Organization, Director of Beit HaGalgalim in the Bedouin sector, and leading programs in resilience and social innovation. Yosef is a graduate of prestigious leadership programs such as “Ma’oz,” “Gvanim,” and the San Francisco Federation, actively participates in public committees, and combines vision with groundbreaking daily work for a better and more equitable future for everyone.
Alaa Abu Ghalioun – Deputy Director, Head of Welfare Cluster
Holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from Ben-Gurion University, with extensive professional experience in social work. Over the years, she has held management, guidance, and therapeutic roles, leading systemic processes in social services departments. Her experience includes mentoring and guiding social workers, particularly those working with youth law and the Yatad program, as well as instructing social work students.
From 2020–2023, she served as Director of the Mentoring Program at Siraח Association, promoting the integration of young people from the Bedouin community into the high-tech industry. In this role, she was responsible for recruiting mentors, guiding students in academic institutions, developing professional content, and leading collaborations with high-tech companies, associations, and government bodies.
Alaa recently led a program to promote socio-economic mobility on behalf of the Joint Ashlim and the Ministry of Welfare and Social Security in Kisifa, overseeing strategic processes, drafting work plans at the municipal level, managing local teams, and guiding steering committees.
Alaa is a graduate of the MBA in Social Leadership program from the Mandel Foundation at Ben-Gurion University, which combines management, strategy, and social entrepreneurship tools.
Yaakov Abu Bilal – Head of Employment and Mental Health Cluster
Yaakov Abu Bilal has extensive experience in social work, including management and coordination roles in welfare and youth law services. Currently, he mentors social work students at Ben-Gurion University and leads support programs working with diverse populations. He also serves as a lecturer and group facilitator, specializing in professional guidance and promoting social projects within social work. Throughout his career, he has held numerous roles, including youth law social worker, supported employment coordinator, deputy welfare office manager, and group facilitator for social workers and teachers. Yaakov holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Tel Aviv University and has completed extensive professional training. He is also a graduate of the Mandel Local Leadership Program, which equips him with the skills to lead and impact social and community processes in the Negev.
Areej Khalaila Mahamid – Program Development Manager
Areej is a social worker with a Bachelor’s degree from Sapir Academic College and a Master’s from Ben-Gurion University, and a graduate of the Mandel Social Leadership Program in the Negev. She has extensive professional experience in emotional therapy, group facilitation, guidance, and team management within social services departments, focusing on at-risk youth, Bedouin women, and families in crisis.
In addition to her other roles, Areej serves as the Bedouin community coordinator at the Summit Institute and as a team leader and professional mentor for foster care services, providing professional support to foster families, training social workers, and developing culturally adapted solutions for the unique needs of the community.
Areej has completed advanced training in early childhood trauma therapy (CPP), parent-child dyadic therapy, phototherapy, sexual assault therapy, and trauma-focused psychotherapy. She facilitates groups for girls and women using creative approaches, develops community empowerment programs, and trains educational and therapeutic teams in the Bedouin society.
Fatna Abu Kosh – Fatenah Abu Kosh – Supervisor of Lana’s Frameworks
In her role as the supervisor of Lana’s frameworks, Fatenah monitors the proper functioning of the field frameworks.
Fatenah has extensive experience in managing and leading projects in employment, education, and rehabilitation. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a specialization in inclusion of at-risk youth and has participated in professional courses and training in rehabilitation, employment, and special education.
Iman Swaed – Administrative Manager
Iman Sawaed holds a Bachelor’s degree in Politics and Government and has completed professional training in group facilitation and remedial education. She brings extensive experience as an academic coordinator and instructor, along with volunteer work supporting women and students. By combining academic knowledge, educational skills, and community experience, she leads administrative, educational, and social processes with efficiency and professionalism. Iman is recognized for her high energy, empathy, and strong leadership, fostering a positive and professional work environment that promotes equality and solidarity
